Emma Taylor

EMMA TAYLOR, originally from Anchorage, Alaska, received her early ballet training at Alaska Dance Theatre. She was accepted into Pacific Northwest Ballet School at age 12, where she trained for five years before graduating. Following her graduation from PNBS, she continued her ballet training at Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet, where she spent two years and had opportunities to dance lead roles, such as the Dark Angel in George Balanchine’s Serenade and the Tall Swans in Alan Hineline’s Swan Lake.  She was then invited to join Ballet Arizona’s Studio Company under the direction of Daniela Cardim. While at BAZ, she frequently received opportunities to dance alongside the company in productions such as Ib Andersen’s Swan Lake, George Balanchine’s Walpurgisnacht, and Septime Webre’s ALICE (In Wonderland). She has attended summer intensives at the School of American Ballet, CPYB, and Boston Ballet School on scholarship.

She is looking forward to her first season with First State Ballet Theatre.
