ANGELA ZIELENS’S PERFORMANCES ARE SPONSORED BY TERRY AND SANDY STRINE

ANGELA ZIELEN is celebrating her 12th season with FSBT. A Delaware native, Angela began studying ballet at the age of nine at First State Academy of Dance. She augmented her training by attending summer intensives at First State Ballet Theatre and The American Academy of Ballet, and by studying under Angela DeMello in Urbania, Italy. Angela was awarded the Delaware Dance Festival Artistry Award in 2012. Last summer, she performed as an international guest artist in the 2025 Belfast International Ballet Festival.

Since joining FSBT, she has had tremendous opportunities to perform a variety of featured roles, including the title role in Giselle, Juliet in Romeo & Juliet, Aurora in The Sleeping Beauty, Marie in The Nutcracker, Kitri in Don Quixote, and Swanhilda in Coppélia; she also originated the role of Mina in the world premiere of Viktor Plotnikov’s Dracula. Angela is a graduate of the University of Delaware and former Assistant Director of the National Ballet Competition. Outside the studio, Angela brings her passion for the arts to Central Delaware, serving as the director of The Art Society at Loblolly Acres, a performing arts venue in Kent County.

Angela is deeply grateful for the love and support she has received from her husband, Adam, from her family, friends, and FSBT throughout her journey. She is honored to share this accomplishment with the people who have believed in her every step of the way.
